Power of Pain #2


Here’s some of what we’re learning about pain: 

  • Expect to experience more pain with stress, anxiety, or depression. 

  • You can hurt without causing harm. 

  • Pain is real. Highly subjective. And bio-psycho-social. 

  • Expectations and interpretations will greatly influence feelings of pain. 

This last point also means you have tremendous agency and possibility when you understand pain. How it works, why it's there, and what it's doing to your body and nervous system.
